The first match of the five-Test match series between India and England will be played in Birmingham from Wednesday. The match, which will begin from Wednesday is also very special occasion for England because it will be the 1000th international Test match for their team.

The Joe Root led team will want to celebrate the occasion by winning this 1000th international Test match. But his ground of Edgbaston in Birmingham is interesting for Indian cricket. Team India have never won a single match at this ground.

Both the teams had met each other last time at Edgbaston, in 2011. In this match, Alastair Cook performed very well for England.
