Fastest Fifty of all time in IPL History. The fever of IPL 2018 has begun and all the excitement of fans is out now. It’s only the second day and the second match of IPL and records started to be broken. In the 11th season of the IPL KXIP’s Lokesh Rahul is the one who started to set new records. Rahul set a new record in IPL by hitting fastest fifty in IPL History in his first match only against Delhi Daredevils while batting from KXIP.

Kings XI Punjab’s opener Lokesh Rahul has played a long remembered innings of cricket for IPL fans. Lokesh destroyed the bowling attack of Delhi Daredevils and completed his half-century in just 14 balls. After this innings, Lokesh Rahul became the fastest half-century scorer in the IPL History.

Rahul scored 51 runs in 16 balls with the help of 6 fours and 4 sixes in his innings against DD. He scored these runs with a strike rate of 151.52.

Earlier, this record was held by Sunil Narine and Yusuf Pathan. They both scored 50 runs in just 15 balls but Narine has a better strike rate.

Lokesh Rahul made the fastest half-century in IPL but, it was the third fastest fifty in T20 history and he occupied the 4th position in this ranking. The fastest half-century in T20 history is registered in the name of Yuvraj Singh and Chris Gayle. Both of them had scored half-centuries on just 12 balls.

Yuvraj Scored the Fastest fifty in T20 internationals against England in ICC T20 World Cup 2007, which is also a world record.
