Cape Town. South Africa vs India 3rd ODI. South African batsmen again failed to play Indian wrist–spinners in the 3rd ODI of six-match series here at Newlands, Cape Town on Wednesday. Both the Indian spinners Yajuvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav repeated their last match performance and trapped the Proteas batsmen with their wist-spin. With this great performance of bowlers along with captain Kohli’s unbeaten century, India won by 124 runs.

No South African batsmen could stand before the bowling performance of Indian bowlers. Jaspreet Bumrah (2/32) make the way for Indian bowlers as he picked Hashim Amla (1) very early at the team score of 1 run. Anyhow captain Aiden Markram (32) and JP Duminy (51) managed to stand before Indian bowling attack. They put a solid partnership of 78 runs for a second wicket.

After the fall of Aiden Markram’s wicket, the South African batting line-up started to collapse. JP Duminy, who was looking in a good touch, also departed by Chahal (4/46) at the team score of 95. After the departure of JP Duminy, South Africa could not manage to stand against Indian bowlers and got all out at the score of 179 runs chasing Indian score of 303 runs.

Earlier, after winning the toss South African captain Aiden Markram opt to bowl first. Rohit Sharma again failed to score runs, even this time he was sent back to pavilion on a duck by Rabada, in the very first over of the match. After the early first wicket at the team score of 0, captain Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan built a solid partnership again as 2nd ODI. Both put a 140 runs partnership for the second wicket.

Shikhar Dhawan got out with an individual score of 79 runs but Virat Kohli (160*) did not stop. He played aggressively and scored 34th ODI hundred of his career and second of this ODI tournament. However, apart from Dhawan and Kohli, no Indian batsmen could score much runs against Proteas but at the end of the inning, India managed a decent score of 303 runs at the loss of 6 wickets.

South Africa – 179/10 (40 Overs)
