After making the move to Real Madrid, Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is eager to have Eden Hazard join him at Madrid. Thibaut Courtois signed a 6 year deal with Real Madrid on Thursday for around 35 million Euros.
The former Chelsea player, however, had a year still left with the Blues. He chose not to report for practice with Chelsea this week and waited for the transfer.
Thibaut Courtois said that he is keen to have his former Chelsea teammate Eden Hazar play alongside him at Real Madrid. Reportedly Madrid could target Eden Hazard in the future.
Courtois on Eden Hazard:
Thibaut Courtois was all praises for Hazard during a press conference and said that Hazard is a wonderful player. Courtois said that he will love to play alongside Eden Hazard yet again and it remains to be seen as to what happens in the future.
He further added that it would be brilliant if Eden Hazard lands up at Real Madrid one day. He also expressed his joy about coming to a club that has won three successive Champions Leagues.
The 26-year-old stated that he would like to add to the success of Real Madrid. He said that out of all the offers made to him he wanted to be with Real Madrid. He said that everyone knew about his goal to make it to Real Madrid.
Chelsea on their website confirmed the news of Courtois’ departure from the club. Chelsea hailed their former goalkeeper for his fabulous stay. The club highlighted his contribution to the fortunes of the club and wished him luck for his future endeavours.
