Pakistani player Umar Akmal has made big disclosures about spot-fixing in cricket. This wicket-keeper batsman (now out of the Pakistan team) said that he had got the offer of spot-fixing against India in the ICC World Cup 2015. After this disclosure, there is a new conroversy in the entire cricket world.
In an interview to the Pakistani media he said all this. Umar Akmal claimed that he had received a $ 2 million offer for not scoring runs on two balls in the first match against India. This was the first match of Pakistan in the ICC World Cup 2015.
Akmal said in an interview with Sama TV that, “I had an offer to play two dot balls against India in World Cup 2015, for which I was offered $ two million. Many such offers I have come across before. I was also asked to sit out in the match against India. But I totally denied that I would play for Pakistan and never try to give me such offers.”
If the performance of Umar Akmal in the ICC World Cups against India is considered then he could only score 29 runs in 2011. Worst of all he returned to the Pavilion in ICC World Cup 2015 without opening his account.
India vs Pakistan in ICC World Cups:
It’s noteworthy that the history of failure of Pakistan against India in ICC World Cups is very long. Pakistan could not even one a single match against India in any ICC World Cup. Pakistan still has to win a single match against India in ICC World Cup and ICC World T20.
