ENG vs IND 4th Test: England announced the squad, James Vince included

The England team was announced for the fourth Test against India. A 14-member team was announced on Thursday. Hampshire batsman James Vince has been given a place in the squad.

The 27-year-old Vince, who played Test match against New Zealand in April this year, is in good form. He scored 74 and 147 runs against Nottingham-shire last week. His average was 56 in the county championship in this season.

Now he has been included in the England team for the fourth Test against Team India. starting from August 30 in Southampton.

National selector Ed Smith confirmed that Vince was taken in the team as Johnny Bairstow’s cover. There is a fracture in the middle finger of the left arm of Bairstow. Even if he gets fit, then Vince can only be kept in the team as a batsman, and in this situation Jos Buttler will play the role of wicket-keeper.

Ed told that “The selection panel felt this was the right time to reintroduce James Vince to the Test squad. James will provide cover in case Jonny Bairstow’s fractured finger prevents him playing in the fourth Test match.”

Essex fast bowler Jamie Porter has been allowed to play in the next round of county championships, but if a fast bowler is injured then he is kept standby. In a five-match series, England are still ahead of 2-1.
