In the upcoming Asia Cup, defending champions India will face Pakistan in the Group stage on September 19. International Cricket Council (ICC) released the schedule of ICC Asia Cup 2018 on Tuesday.
However, one day before this, the Indian team will start its campaign against the qualifier team. This means that the team India will not have a chance to rest. Team India has to play two consecutive matches on 18 and 19 September.
India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are scheduled to play in the tournament. While the rest of the place is a claim between UAE, Singapore, Oman, Nepal, Malaysia and Hong Kong. It’s interesting to see who will qualify for the only place.
India, Pakistan and Qualifier team are in Group-A, while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan have got place in Group-B.
The first match of the tournament will be played between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh on September 15 in Dubai. The title match will be held on September 28. The top two teams from each group will qualify for Super Four. Top two teams will play the final on September 28.
