The first test is being played between India and Afghanistan at Bangaluru. Shikhar Dhawan played a magnificent inning of 107 runs in the match. He has become the first Indian to score a century before lunch. Shawan scored a century by playing 87 balls. He becomes the sixth batsman in the world to do so.
Afghanistan has got Test status through this match. Afghanistan has become the 12th country to make Test debut. Shikhar Dhawan’s century in this historic Test match is being discussed everywhere.
Australia’s Victor Trumper was the first player to do so. He had achieved this milestone against England in 1902 at Manchester of England. The other two player who also achieved this record was from Australia. Charlie McCartney scored a hundred before lunch in England at Leeds in 1921. Don Bradman became the third player to do this. In 1930 he scored a century in Leeds against England.
Majid Khan of Pakistan was the fourth player. He did this amazing thing at Karachi in 1976 against New Zealand. Australia’s David Warner was the fifth player. He scored a century against Pakistan on the Sydney Cricket Ground in 2017.
Now Shikhar Dhawan has scored a hundred before lunch against Afghanistan. Virender Sehwag could have done such a thing. But missed by one run. In 2006, against the West Indies. He was dismissed on 99 runs in that match.

Before the match, Sports Minister Rajyavardhana Singh Rathod was introduced to the players from both the teams. Regular captain Virat Kohli and the two main fast bowlers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jaspreet Bumrah are not playing in this Historic Test.
This will be a new kind of challenge for Afghanistan, which has no experience till now. Test cricket is a different challenge and the real test of players like Rashid Khan will now start.
