In the IPL, the Kings XI Punjab franchisee has made an important proposal in front of Indore District Administration. Keeping the profits taken in last season, the franchisee has spoken of the district administration and expressed the desire to make Indore its own home ground. Its noteworthy that at present Mohali is the permanent home ground for KXIP.
Officials of the franchisee said in the interaction with the collector here that they want Indore as a home ground for entire season of IPL.
The administration of Indore also welcomed this proposal of the franchisee. However, the final decision on this matter will be taken by the BCCI’s IPL governing body.
It is noteworthy that even last year, the franchise had proposed all its matches in Indore, but the BCCI did not give its approval.
In the agreement between the franchisee and the administration was decided that instead of paying INR 9 Lakh per match to the police, they would pay INR 15 lakhs per match, on the pattern of Jaipur.
On this, the Collector Nishant Warwade made it clear in the meeting that there is no need to give any amount of money to the magistrate. The administration works according to law and order and does its duty, but if you take economic benefits from Indore, Obligations should be maintained.
In this regard, the franchisee also gave its consent for spending INR 25 lakh under CSR activity in every IPL season. The franchisee has expressed displeasure over a petition on the IPL ticket in the Indore High Court.
They also told the administration that the team management is considering that a petition against this petition be submit in Chandigarh.
