IPL Auction 2018; Manish Pandey, KL Rahul Sold At 11 Crore, Rajasthan Bids 12.5 Crores For Ben Stokes

Bengaluru. Manish Pandey and KL Rahul are the highest Indian buys so far. Sunrisers Hyderabad buys Manish Pandey (11 crores) in a close battle with Kings XI Punjab. Other than Manish Pandey, KL Rahul also got sold at 11 core to Kings XI Punjab in the first session of IPL auction 2018.

Ben Stokes, the star all-rounder from England is sold out to Rajasthan in the highest bid of 12.5 crores. Rajasthan went for him all along and didn’t hesitate to bid the highest. While no takes Joe Roots for now.

Apart from Stokes, Chris Lynn (9.6 crore to KKR), Michel stark (9.40 crore by KKR), Glenn Maxwell (9 Crore by DD), Chris Woaks (7.4 crore by RCB), Aron Finch (6.2 crore by KXIP), Marcus Stoinis (6.2 by KXIP) and Brendon McCullum (3.6 crore by RCB) are the overseas players to go high in bidding. The Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is taken by KIXP at the base price of Rs. 2 Crores. Gautam Gambhir is sold to DD at a price of Rs. 2.8 Crores. Neither SRH used RMT for Yuvraj nor KKR for its two times IPL winning captain Gambhir.

Earlier the eight franchise teams gathered in Bengaluru today morning for the auction. Then the comeback of Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings made the event more interesting.

Firstly the marquee players are billed. The marquee players are Yuvraj Singh, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ajinkya Rahane, Harbhajan Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Shikhar Dhawan, Glenn Maxwell, Ben Stokes, Mitchell Starc, Shakib Al Hasan, FF du Plessis, Dwayne Bravo, Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Joe Root and Ken Williamson.

Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals have the highest amount of money to spend on IPL auction 2018. Both have 67.5 crore rupees to spend and rest of the teams’ money to spend is as follows:

Kolkata Night Riders – Rs. 59 Crore.
Sunrise Hyderabad – Rs. 59 crore.
Chennai Super Kings – Rs. 47 crore.
Delhi Daredevils – Rs. 47 crore.
Mumbai Indians – Rs. 47 Crore.
Royal Challenge Bangalore – Rs. 47 crore.
