Everyone knows that how descent person Sachin Tendulkar is. He is not only a great cricketer but a humble human being. Sachin is known as ‘GOD OF CRICKET’ in India and he always respects the Indian public and his fans. He again proved this fact by his kind work. Sachin Tendulkar donates his entire salary earned as a Rajya Sabha Member along with all other monthly allowances to Pradhan Mantri Relief Fund.
Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s tenure ended as a Rajya Sabha MP recently. After this, as an MP, he deposited the amount of approx ₹ 90 lakh as salary and other monthly allowances to the Prime Minister Relief Fund. Sachin had earned so much money in the last six years as a Member of Parliament.
Following Sachin’s generosity, a gratitude letter was issued by the PMO in which states “Prime Minister acknowledges this thoughtful gesture and conveys his gratitude. These contributions will be of immense help in providing assistance to the persons in distress.”
Sachin Tendulkar also used money issued for the development of his area very well. Sachin’s office released a data, according to which he has sanctioned 185 projects across the country and claimed to spend ₹ 7.4 crores on the structural development and education out of the 30 crore rupees allocated.
Sachin has also fulfilled all the duties provided as a Member of Parliament. Sachin Tendulkar had also adopted the two villages under the ‘Adarsh Gram Yojana’, which included Andhra Pradesh’s Puttamraju Kandriga and Maharashtra’s Donja Village.
Tendulkar has also used his MPLAD scheme fund properly and effectively. Earlier, Sachin had given Rs 40 lakhs to build a school building in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir. Sachin continues to help many NGOs on a personal level as well.
Along with Bollywood actress Rekha, Sachin Tendulkar was criticized for the fact that his presence in Parliament is quite low. He only attainted 7.3% sessions in Rajya Sabha. The former cricketer has attended 29 Rajya Sabha sessions out of nearly 400 sessions since 2012 when he was nominated as Rajya Sabha member. He just asked 22 questions and never introduced any bill in Parliament.
