Team India’s opener Murali Vijay has targeted the selectors of the Indian team. He says, after being excluded from the team, no one tried to talk to him from the team manager management.
During an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Vijay said, “No information was given before he was dropped out of the team. Vijay was asked whether the team management had talked about him before the exit.
He said, “not at all. Neither the chief selector nor any other member of the team told me about this in England.”
Murali Vijay said that “this is an important thing that the player should know why he has been out of the team? If he knew the reason, he would also know where he was standing in the plans of selectors and team management. At the same time, the player can know where he has made a mistake and what is the plan regarding the team management and the selectors for that player.”
Harbhajan Singh also raise questions on selectors
It is worth mentioning that Harbhajan Singh also raised the issue of deselection of Karun Nair.
He said that “a player was sitting on the bench with the team for three months. He did not get a chance to play a single match and suddenly he was dropped out.”
Vijay, while supporting Harbhajan’s remarks, said, “One player should be told why he is being taken out of the team. So that he can know where he is in the views of Team Management and Selections.”
