Punjab Cricket Board selects Yuvraj Singh in the team for Vijay Hazare Trophy

Yuvraj Singh, who scored 8701 runs in 304 ODI for India, has been running out of the Indian team for a long time. IPL 2018 also got worse for Yuvraj, where he could not show a attractive performance. Because of which Yuvraj was not picked in the Indian team.

Clearly Yuvraj played his last match in June 2017. Since then he is constantly out of the team India. Significantly, Yuvraj has not been given an opportunity in the Asia Cup 2018 as well.

Now that the ICC World Cup has less than 9 months to go, and all the players are constantly trying to earn a ticket to England and make a place in Team India. Because of this, the Punjab Cricket Board has given Yuvraj Singh another chance to present his claim for the place in the Indian team in the ICC World Cup 2019.

Its noteworthy that, this veteran player was the man of the tournament in the historic victory of India as ICC World Cup 2011. He was then suffering from initial stage of tumor but, he played for India in that condition as well.

The Punjab team

Yuvraj Singh has been selected in the Punjab team for the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Yuvraj was eagerly waiting for the opportunity. The Punjab team’s command has been handed over to young batsman Mandeep Singh.

Mandeep has got his punch in the IPL. Gurkeerat Mann will be the vice-captain of the team. Harbhajan Singh, like Yuvraj, was also expected to get a selection but he was not picked.
