Rohit Sharma Passed the Yo-Yo Test. Indian ODI team vice-captain Rohit Sharma targets critics after completing the compulsory Yo-Yo Test successfully on Wednesday to join the team. For the England and Ireland tour the players of the ODI team had given the Yo-Yo test on June 15. In which questions were raised on the non-involvement of Rohit. Now all questions has been answered.
In the Yo-Yo Test last week, all the players except Ambati Rayudu were successful in this, including captain Virat Kohli and former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Rohit had obtained permission to participate in this test on June 15 due to personal commitment.
BCCI general manager (Cricket Operations) Saba Karim said, “Rohit did not have to compulsorily give the yo-yo test on June 15 because he had already got the approval.”
Rohit informed on social media on Wednesday that he has passed the test at National Cricket Academy, Bangaluru.
Rohit also targeted a section of the media that questioned his fitness. He tweeted, “Where and how I spend my time, no one has the right to interfere in this matter. By the time I follow the rules, I have the right to spend time in my own way. Discuss the real issues. I would like to tell some channels that I got an opportunity to succeed in the Yo-Yo Test which was today.”
He also updated a photo of him with his shoes on Instagram quoting “see you in Ireland”.
Rahane was the alternative:
Earlier, in the condition of Rohit’s failure to qualify for the Yo-Yo Test, BCCI was ready for it. The Indian Test team’s vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane was asked to be prepared as an alternative. however, now Rohit Sharma Passed the Yo-Yo Test.
