South Africa vs India 6th ODI. Centurion. India won the last match of the six-match ODI series against South Africa and grabbed the six-match ODI series by 5-1. Indian captain Virat Kohli finishes the series in his style scoring his 35th ODI hundred in his 200th ODI. Hence beating South Africa 5th time in the series, India won the 6th ODI by 8 wickets.

Rohit Sharma (15) is sent back early by Ngidi (2/54) this time, after hitting hundred in the last match. But Shikhar Dhawan (18) and Virat Kohli (129*) stood strong and put 61 runs partnership for the second wicket. After the departure of Dhawan at the team score of 80 runs, Kohli continued with Ajinkya Rahane (34*). Both build an unbeatable partnership of 126 runs and Indian Captain completed his 35th ODI ton.

Hence India won the 6th ODI and sealed the series by 5-1. Now, when India finished so well, then this confidence is definitely going to help in the up-coming three-match T20 series against the hosts.

Earlier after winning the toss India captain Virat Kohli opted to bat second. The South African team was on the ground to bat last time in this ODI series. Proteas had the last chance to play for their pride but they failed again. No proteas batsmen could stand against the Indian bowlers and bowl out at 204 runs only. Khaya Zondo (54) was the only batsmen who could pass the 50 runs mark and rest failed to score high.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was playing continuous international cricket for long, so he was given rest in the 6th match. He was replaced by pacer Shardul Thakur. Shardul Thakur grabbed the opportunity and sent back four South African batsmen to the pavilion.

Thakur (4/54) also broke the first wicket partnership of the hosts, taking the wicket of Hashim Amla (10) on the team score of 23 runs. Jaspreet Bumrah and Hardik Pandya picked 2 wickets each and 1 wicket each picked by both the wrist spinners, Yajuvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav.

South Africa was playing their last ODI of the summer. After the 6th ODI against India Protease will play against Shri Lanka in July. So they had this last chance to finish on high before going to the T20 series later in this month and end the summer, but they missed it. South Africa even could not stand against India for all 50 overs as they got all out within 47 overs only.
