South Africa vs India 6th ODI Preview: India Keen to Finish the Series by 5-1

South Africa vs India 6th ODI Preview. Centurion. India has already sealed the historic series by 4-1 against South Africa. By winning the 5th ODI at St. George Park, Port Elizabeth on Tuesday, India finally managed to win the series in any format of cricket, on the South African soil. But India is not in the mood to take the last match of six-match ODI series lightly. After achieving the golden moment of the series win, India keen to finish the series with another win at SuperSports Park, Centurian on Friday.

With the victory of the last game at Port Elizabeth and winning the series by 4-1, India has already confirmed its No. 1 position in the ICC ODI Man’s Team Ranking. South Africa held this No. 1 spot at the starting of the six-match ODI series.

Now, when India has won the series, so Indian captain can utilize his bench strength in the last game at Centurion. Captain can also afford to put his regular squad members on rest keeping an eye on the up-coming three-match T20 series against the hosts.

The Indian captain Virat Kohli clearly specified that “We want to win 5-1 but there might be a scenario to give a few (other) guys a chance”. So India might be seen to do some experiments in the 6th ODI. But winning the last match of the series and wrapping the series by 5-1 will be the first priority of the men in blue at SuperSports Park.


India skipper also appreciated the efforts of his players and said that “It’s a wonderful feeling to have created some history. The guys really got stuck in, with the bat and the ball and in the field as well.”

On the other hand, the last match will be the proud saving match for the hosts. South Africa would also look to win the last game to gain some moral strength before going to T20 series, later in the month.
