The replacements for many players in this season of IPl is going on and in the same sequence, SunRisers Hyderabad announced the replacement of David Warner. After being trapped in the ball tempering case along with Steve Smith, David Warner will not play for his IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad this season. This time for Sunrisers Hyderabad, the opening batsman from England Alex Hales will replace Aussie David Warner.
Alex has been a member of Mumbai Indians in IPL 2015 where he had replaced Cory Anderson in the squad. However, he couldn’t get any chance to play a game in IPL. Alex Hales is one of the few batsmen in the world who has scored a century in international T20 cricket.
Alex Hales has scored 1456 runs in his 52 T20 matches for his country. He scored these runs with an average of 31.65 and a strike rate of 136.32. His highest score in T20 International is unbeaten 116 which he achieved in 2014 against Sri Lanka. Hales has scored 1 century and 7 half centuries in T20I.
Hyderabad has acquired Hales for his base price of ₹ 1 Cr. Alex Hales is the first and only batsman for England to score a century in T20 Internationals. He is also the only English cricketer to rank among ICC Top 10 T20I Batsmen Ranking. Hyderabad announced his inclusion in the team for IPL 2018 from their Twitter account.

SunRisers approached Sri Lankan Kushal Perera before Hales:
Sources say that earlier, the Hyderabad franchise has contacted Sri Lankan wicketkeeper-batsman Kusal Perera to be included in the team in place of Warner. Perera is an aggressive batsman just like Warner and has been in good form in the last few months.

But, Kusal Perera had rejected this proposal from Sunrise Hyderabad. Perera rejected the offer of Hyderabad because he wanted to play domestic cricket in Sri Lanka in the meantime. so that he can make his place in the Sri Lankan Test Team. So he could not be available for SRH and then they moved to Alex Hales.
