Steve Smith has already resigned as the captain of Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League 2018. However, David Warner has stepped down as vice-captain of Australia but Sunrisers Hyderabad has not taken any action against Him yet. In an interview with the PTI, VVS Laxman told that Sunrisers is waiting for Cricket Australia’s decision on Warner.
Laxman told PTI, “It’s very unfortunate what happened in the Cape Town Test. As far as Sunrisers is concerned, it’s too early for us to comment because it was just We will wait for the decision of Cricket Australia.”
“The information available here is very limited. So, we will wait for further information. If at all, the need be, then we will discuss about that As far as Warner is concerned, he has been an exceptional leader for the Sunrisers group,” Laxman added in his statement.
The Australian team on the tour of South Africa tampered the ball during the third Test, after which captain Steve Smith and vice-captain David Warner had to resign from their captaincy and sub-captaincy in the middle of the match respectively. Following this act of Smith and fellow players, the legends of the cricketing world are fiercely criticizing this move of Australian players.

In the same sequence, the former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly also shared his views on the same case. He said “Steven Smith need not have to do it (ball tampering). I think what Smith did or David Warner did or Bancroft did be absolute stupidity.”
“Actually, I think he (Smith) had a brain fade. I thought it was for the sake of just saying when he last said in India that he had a brain fade. But after this incident, I thought he actually had a brain fade,” the former Indian skipper added.
Speaking of the Smith and Warner’s chances to play IPL 2018, The cricketing legend said “I do not think the teams will dismiss their contract with them. For both the Rajasthan and Hyderabad teams, it would be very difficult to take this decision. Smith has resigned from the captaincy of Rajasthan due to ball-tapping allegations. In such a situation, Hyderabad will have to find alternatives to captaincy instead of Warner. ”
