Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton took a surprise pole position for the much anticipated Singapore GP. The British prodigy has described the Singapore pole lap as the best feeling ever witnessed by him. He’s already leading the world championship by 30 points from his rival Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari and this gives him another chance the extend the gap.
While Lewis Hamilton took the pole on Saturday, Sebastian Vettel will start from the third position and Max Verstappen of Red Bull will be second. For Vettel, it’s a must-win race or else it would be too late for him to have any hopes in the world championship rivalry.
He’s been under fire for making too many errors in recent times and now he cannot really afford another spin on the tracks. Lewis Hamilton produced one of the best laps of his life to win the pole position for the Sunday race.
Sebastian Vettel came into the weekend as being the favourite given his car but he was downcast by Hamilton’s heroics.
After completing the lap Lewis Hamilton was elated and he described the lap as being magical. Be further added that he was overwhelmed at the kind of results that were produced in the qualifying.
Sebastian on not to get pole positions in Singapore GP
Sebastian Vettel described his dejection at not getting the pole position. He said that his team wanted the pole position but couldn’t get it and it turned out to be a messy qualifying session.
Now what happens on the tracks on Sunday is something everyone is eagerly waiting to see. Can Vettel do his justice to the tag of favourite or will Lewis Hamilton prove his mettle again?
