After being dropped from Sauber, Marcus Ericsson will be making a move to IndyCar. Marcus Ericsson will Schmidt Peterson Motorsports for Indy Car series following the winding up of the ongoing F1 season. After being with Sauber for a stint of three years Ericsson has been dropped by the team.
Marcus Ericsson will, however, remain the reserve driver for Sauber even in 2019. He shares a strong relationship with the team and its partners. Ericsson expresses his joy and happiness at being picked by the Schmidt Peterson Motorsports.

He stated that it seems like a perfect step forward for him and his career after spending half a decade in Formula One. He also expressed his eagerness to move the team members about whom he has heard all the good things.
He’s keenly waiting to get a start at Indy Car. Marcus Ericsson is amply excited to start his career at Indy Car. Schmidt Peterson Motorsports has had a great success over the years and he is determined to take the legacy forward.
He recognized the fact that even though it’s not going to be easy but he’s looking forward to facing new challenges. He simply can’t wait to start at Indy Car.
The 28-year-old Swedish driver made his F1 debut in 2014 at the Australian Grand Prix. He made his way to Sauber in the year 2015 and now he will be parting ways with them.
