David de Gea. This season of Premier League has been quite disappointing for Manchester United and on the points table of the league, it is on 10th place after Nine Games, in which they have won four matches, defeats in three and draws in two matches.
Due to this, United’s player David de Gea has said that the win is more important for him than the contract with the club.
According to a news agency, this 27-year contract will end with the United at the end of the 2018-19 season and he has the option of increasing the contract up to 2020.
David de Gea shares his views
Talking to sky sports de Gea said that “You have to be focused on what’s important.”
“What matters is the team and all of us being focused on what we need to focus on, which is winning games, rather than contracts or any topics that can be a distraction. What matters is focusing on football,” he added.
“You don’t have time to think about things that aren’t as important as football and the points that are at stake in the games that we have to win and do well in,” he further said.
Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho also said on the issue that “If the club wants to be better than it is and not worse, obviously it would be very important to keep David.”
