Stuart Pearce feels that Chelsea forward Eden Hazard would have been capable of scoring as much as 40 goals this season if he was playing for either Liverpool or Manchester City. A spectacular hattrick from Eden Hazard against Cardiff ensured Chelsea the top spot in the points table of the Premier League.
Chelsea boss has thrown a challenge at Eden Hazard to score 40 goals in all competitions and has also backed him to win the golden boot in the ongoing Premier League.
Stuart Pearce however feels that it would not be possible for the Belgian to score 40 goals playing for Chelsea.
He feels that Chelsea would not control enough games for him which is why he would not the reach the target.
Pearce opined that Eden Hazard had a better chance to achieve this number if he was playing for Liverpool or Manchester City. Chelsea might not dominate the league enough to give Eden Hazard an opportunity to score enough goals.
Hazard’s strong beginning to the season comes after his plans to move to Real Madrid during the summer transfer.

Pearce also said that Chelsea has done well to hold on to Eden Hazard who will be instrumental for Chelsea’s bid for the Sixth Premier League title.
