The FC Goa team, playing with aggressive tactics, defeated Mumbai City FC by 5-0 in the fifth edition of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. This is the second consecutive victory of Goa this season and the first victory in home.
On the other hand, Mumbai City FC, who opened the account for the new season, defeating FC Pune City by 2-0 and conceded the second defeat of the season.
With this victory, Goa has reached the first place in the 10 teams’ points table, while Mumbai City FC has slipped to seventh place after its fourth match.
Goa defeated current champion Chennai FC 3-1 in the final match. Goa, who had played three matches so far, started the season with a 2-2 draw with Northeast United FC.
