FIA Released Its Statement Regarding the Ban Of Ferrari Winglet

ban of Ferrari winglet
Ferrari Winglet

Finally, FIA gave its explanation regarding the ban of Ferrari Winglet and how their liberal and feeble interpretation of the word mounting in the rule books of Formula 1 forced them to get banned just after one race.

In the Spanish Grand Prix Ferrari became the first team which introduced the such new design. The design is having the mirror attached to the cockpit protection device and then having a winglet over it for the protection.

Initially, it grabbed the attention of all the teams. The Technical director of Force India Andrew Green said that he initially thought that the design will not go to pass the design norms of Formula 1. But it got passed for the weekend.

But later on, FIA intervene in it and clarifies that Ferrari needs to change the design of the car if they want to race in the next event. The next event will going to be held in Monaco.

FIC Race Director on the Matter:

FIA race director, Charlie Whiting clarifies the reason of ban of Ferrari Winglet.

“ It’s a liberal interpretation of the word ‘mounting’ because that’s how they become legal,” he said.

“The interpretation hinges on whether we think that’s a mounting or not. We somehow think not,” he added.

“They think it contributes to the rigidity of the mirror. I doubt they would be there if there wasn’t a measurable aero advantage, but these days that doesn’t have to be big. Ferrari was able to run on the tracks in Spain because of the unforced breach of the rules by Ferrari which is not actually illegal.”

Supreme Court Guided Delhi High Court on Spot Fixing

In the IPL spot-fixing case, Supreme Court of India has asked the Delhi High Court to pronounce the verdict till the end of July. Since the year 2013, S. Sreesanth and other players are facing the lifetime ban due to spot-fixing.

Due to spot-fixing, Sreesanth had imposed a life ban by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Sreesanth was accused of spot-fixing during a match playing on behalf of Rajasthan in the IPL 2013.

Sreesanth is seeking relaxation in his ban and wants to play county cricket. For that, he appeared to the Supreme Court against his lifetime ban.

The Bench headed by Chief Justice Deepak Mishra said that the distraction of the lifelong restrictions of players can be understood, but we will have to wait for the High Court’s decision on a petition filed by Delhi Police against the trial court in the IPL spot-fixing case.

Earlier, in this case, the trial court acquitted Sreesanth and other players for spot-fixing allegations. Sreesanth has demanded to play English county cricket to Supreme Court in his petition.

Sreesanth says that he has been acquitted in the spot-fixing case despite this he has been holding lifelong ban for four years. It may be noted that the Delhi Police arrested Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankit Chavan during IPL in 2013.

What’s the matter:

The BCCI had imposed a lifelong ban on the players arrested in IPL spot-fixing in the year 2013.

Challenging this decision, Sreesanth had filed a petition in the Kerala High Court, hearing on that the High Court removed the lifelong ban on Sreesanth on 7 August 2013.

In the spot-fixing case, all 36 accused, including Sreesanth, were acquitted by Patiala House Court Delhi in July 2015. But even after this decision, the BCCI did not remove lifelong restrictions on these players.

The problem happened was not related to the terminal, the issues were sorted by the Ferrari team. They replaced the internal combustion engine, MGU-H, and the turbocharger. They took the decision for the change when Raikkonen faced some technical issue while the practice session on Friday in Spain.

Why Julien Nagelsmann represents an ideal heir to Arsene Wenger’s throne at the Emirates

0

Popular German manager Julien Nagelsmann secured Hoffenheim’s direct entry into next season’s Champions League after he guided his side to a last day win over Borussia Dortmund that saw them end the season in third place on the Bundesliga table.

While he was strongly linked to the Bayern Munich job and also emerged as a leading candidate to take over from Jupp Heynckes at the end of the season, the Bayern hierarchy opted to go for the more experienced option in Niko Kovac. That being said, the Bundesliga champions are not the only team linked with Nagelsmann as Arsenal are also eyeing the German as a viable candidate to take over the reins from Arsene Wenger come the end of the season.

The Frenchman has decided to call time on an illustrious 22-year-career at Emirates Stadium as he will be stepping down as Arsenal boss come the end of the season. This opens the door for one of the continent’s top coaches to take up the job and bring the North London club back on the right track. According to the Telegraph, Nagelsmann is among six others that are being considered for the job.

What makes the German such an exciting prospect is his ability to make the most off limited resources at his disposal. He will be taking relegation threatened team to the Champions League and has already proved himself as one of the finest young coaches in the continent. Back to back top four finishes with an average squad proves he’s just not a one season wonder and is more than capable of punching above his weight.

Nagelsmann claimed to be under pressure this season but that was due to the exceptionally high standards that were set of him. At Arsenal, the board is likely to give him certain privileges he’s never going to get at Hoffenheim.

To put this into perspective, for a club like Arsenal, finishing fourth is not too much to ask for while at Hoffenheim it is. At the North London club he’ll be given the funds to buy the players he wants to suit his philosophy while already having a few quality players that he’ll inherit on joining. Known to be a revolutionary, Nagelsmann could bring about a certain never-seen-before style to the Premier League and forever leave his mark on English football.

This new overtaking package which is designed for Formula 1 cars will have front brakes ducts and front wing with a simplified design. This package also includes larger rear wing flap which gives the cars a better and powerful DRS effect. The FIA single seater technical wing head, Nikolas Tombazis said “”We expect this rule change to be approximately one-third of the way less performance of the delta between ’16 and ’17,”

This decision leads to put the teams under pressure as they find it difficult to predict the exact level of improvement they need to put on.

Tombazis on F1 Overtaking Package

According to Tombazis the new overtaking package will definitely bring some significant change in the overtaking. He said this change is not the only change made. This might continue with more similar kind of changes in future. According to their studies the step taken will help the cars to have a better balance. It also support the wheel wack which will affect the cars coming from behind.

He said “n our studies the wheel wake in the cars will affects the rear car, and losing control of that we feel is going to make a step improvement. But I’m not expecting cars to be bumping each other like touring cars.”

FIA needs to think regarding this as per current situations. Now, drivers face trouble in following the rear cars and these changes will add some more to it.

0

When the selectors made Virat Kohli the captain of the team for the two-match T20I series against Ireland, it had created confusion. This was because this series will collide with county commitments of Kohli. Now it is clear how Virat Kohli will manage both of them.

Against Ireland, the Indian team has to play the first T20 match on June 27. While Virat will be playing against Yorkshire from Surrey from 25-28 June. Indian selectors kept Virat’s name included in the team for this series against Ireland. After which controversy started that how Virat would be able to play two matches at the same time. But now it’s solution s here.

India will play two T20I matches against Ireland in Dublin’s Malahide stadium on 27 and 29 June. While Kohli is to play the final match for Surrey County in Scarborough against Yorkshire from 25 to 28 June. So questions were raised that how Kohli will play in both the matches on 27th June.

According to Surrey, Virat Kohli will not play the first T20I match against Ireland and he will complete his contract with Surrey. After that, on June 28, when Surrey’s match with Yorkshire ends, then he will be joining Team India in Ireland for the second T20 match (June 29). Sami Khedira linked with a summer move to Manchester United

0

According to reports in Italy, Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira could be on his way to Manchester United in the summer. It is understood that the player is open to a move and has also spoken about the possibility of playing in England’s top tier.

”I’m happy at Juventus, but I like challenges & I seek them. I’d like to win as many titles as possible in as many leagues as possible. Of the top ones in Europe, I have to yet to play in England- the Premier League has always fascinated me,” said the Juventus midfielder.

A move to United would make a lot of sense for both the club as well as the player. The Red Devils are looking to add solidity to their midfield that has not always been top notch this season and could look to rope in the German midfielder from Turin. He has already worked under Jose Mourinho during their time at Real Madrid and a reunion seems to be on the cards.

Khedira seems to have slowed down considerably and is not the midfielder he was during his days in Spain. This means that he would only be a short-term fit for Mourinho and would arguably walk into the club’s midfield playing alongside Nemanja Matic. This also means that he’ll come on the cheap and will bring valuable experience of winning several domestic and international trophies to the dressing room at Old Trafford.

He could be the man to pull strings from deep for United, but would not be the star-studded names the fans are hoping for in order to compete with rivals Manchester City next season. There are plenty of other quality midfielders in Europe that are undoubtedly better alternatives to the German midfielder who is past his peak. It thus remains to be seen how the next few weeks pan out and whether or not the Red Devils are to pursue his signing in the summer.

Manchester United closing in on summer move for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

0

According to Manchester Evening News, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s rumoured Manchester United move in the summer appears to be a done deal, as per the player’s representatives. It is believed to be in the nascent stages of negotiations, but they are confident of getting it over the line come the end of the transfer window.

The player has set the Serie A alight with his phenomenal displays in Lazio’s midfielder and has already made other top sides in the continent take note of him. He is already regarded as one of the best midfielders of this generation and would improve most Premier League sides’ midfield.

The player is reportedly valued around the £100 million mark by his club due to the growing interest in his services. United have already paid close to that amount for Paul Pogba last summer, and it remains to be seen whether they will be willing to shell out an extravagant fee of a money for another midfielder, particularly due to the stick and pressure Pogba has faced for his hefty price tag.

Barring a solid midfield presence, Milinkovic-Savic offers mobility and a phenomenal passing range. He can also carry the ball from deep and pull the strings in the middle of the park. The Serbian also offers a goal-scoring threat and could supplement United’s pacy attackers in the final third.

Signing Milinkovic-Savic would appear to be a real coup from the Manchester United board and would be one of the final pieces of the Mourinho jigsaw at Old Trafford to transform the Red Devils squad ideally catered to his philosophy. It is believed that there will be a massive overhaul in the summer and a number of players could also come the other way in order to make them a real force in the continent that can challenge competitively on all fronts.

Wimbledon Officials are keen to reform some rules in tournament this year

Wimbledon officials have warned of financial losses to the players who have left the tournament due to injury. The All England Club is bringing the 50-50 rule in Wimbledon this year. After that due to injury, players can be prevented from leaving the men and women singles after the initial stages. This rule can be effective if imposed properly.

Although many players were not fit last year, they started playing in the early stages, so that they could take possession of the prize money. But they got out of the tournament due to injury. In 2017, a total of seven players had withdrawn from the tournament.

Players losing in the first round of the upcoming season will also get around ₹ 35 lakh. This year, the prize money has been increased. It has been increased at every step of the tournament from the first round to the champions.

In such a case, if the players withdraw before the main draw begins till Thursday, then they will get only 50% of the match fees. At the same time, the remaining 50% match fee of that particular match will be paid to the substitute player of the injured player.

But if a player plays in the first round and performs below the professional level then the penalty of the full amount will be imposed on. This provision can also be done.

Mumbai Indians: The Slow Starters

It’s been the typical Mumbai Indians trend so far. In almost every edition of the IPL, they’ve peaked only in the later half. Mumbai Indians make the most successful team in the tournament with 3 titles. The Mumbai Indians emerged as the champions in 2013, 2015 and 2017. If Mumbai Indians stay alive in IPL 2018, other teams would surely be dreaded of this lethal side.

Almost every time they have struggled in the initial stages of the tournament. In the later half they’ve been at their best and have bounced back emphatically. This season too they would want to repeat history. It’s important that Mumbai Indians stay alive in IPL 2018 for that makes the tournament even more interesting.

Mumbai Indians stay alive in IPL 2018 only if their skipper leads from the front. Rohit Sharma’s form has been patchy in the tournament so far. He’s the key player and the player with the highest impact value . For the Mumbai Indians to advance to the next stage, Rohit Sharma has to lead from the front. He’s one of the best limited overs batsmen in the world. But he’s not lived up to that repute. For the Mumbai Indians to be at their best, Rohit Sharma needs to be at his best.

Sixer King Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma has become the first Asian player to hit most sixes in T20 cricket. In T20 cricket, Rohit Sharma has hit 300 sixes.

Chelsea and Arsenal eyeing summer swoop for Italian midfielder Bryan Cristante

0

According to Sky Sports, Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea are among the front runners to complete the signature of Italian midfielder Bryan Cristante in the summer. The 23-year-old is currently plying his trade at Serie A side Atalanta, where he has performed beyond expectations.

German club Borussia Dortmund are also reportedly in the mix to sign the player and will face stiff competition from several other Italian clubs along with the aforementioned English duo if they are to bring the midfielder to Signal Iduna Park in the summer.

The midfielder has been capped twice by the national side – which is quite a commendable feat, given the quality of midfielders the Italians have at their disposal. However, he is yet to nail down a permanent berth in the Azzuri side, and a move to a bigger European club would escalate his chances of doing just that.

Chelsea and Arsenal are both on the lookout for quality central midfielders and have turned their attention to the 23-year-old. The Atalanta midfielder may not be the best at dribbling or carrying the ball from defence to attack, but has plenty of facets to his game that make him a solid midfield player. He is phenomenal at picking out passes and dictating the tempo and is also fantastic at using his physicality to bully opponents and give his side the edge in the middle of the park.

An AC Milan academy product, Cristante has polished his skills at the initial stages of his career and he now has a few good years in him before he hits his peak and could arguably reach world class potential if he is to improve on certain aspects of his game.

He’s already scored nine and assisted two in the league this season, despite playing in a deeper position closer to the halfway line than to the opposition penalty area. This shows signs of a player willing to get forward and put in a shift and could walk into the Arsenal and Chelsea sides and be a mainstay in the middle of the park for many years to come.

Manchester United 2-1 Arsenal: Three things we learned

0

On a cool spring evening in Manchester, two of the game’s managerial titans Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger squared off for what seemed to be their final date with destiny against each other, at least on the Premier League stage. A rejuvenated Wenger, after announcing that he would step down as Arsenal boss at the end of the season, hoped to enjoy his last game at Old Trafford as Gunners manager.

While many might argue that he did indeed savour the contest and was proud of the effort put in by some of the younger guns and fringe players, his team ended up on the losing side.

After former Manchester United attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan equalised for the visitors in the second half, Marouane Fellaini’s late winner proved to be the undoing for Arsenal as the Red Devils secured a 2-1 victory and also booked a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Three things we learned:

1) Wenger gets the send-off he deserves from two of his foes of yesteryears

Before kick-off, Manchester United Football Club decided to pay tribute to the man in the visiting dugout by offering him a memento for his contribution to English football and proving to be one of the brightest managers of the Premier League era.

Former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and current boss Jose Mourinho were there to present the memento to the Frenchman after they shared a hearty laugh and congratulated Wenger for being such a good competitor as an opposing manager.

This was a real touch of class by Manchester United and Wenger was also overwhelmed by the act. He would have liked the three points on Sunday to cap off a perfect evening, but that was as far as fairy tales went for the Arsenal manager.

2) Arsenal show signs of resilience and assure fans of a brighter tomorrow

The Gunners may have come back from their trip from Old Trafford empty-handed but it was far from an abject display from them. The side from North London gave it their all in what was dead rubber, given the importance of Thursday night’s Europa League clash against Atletico Madrid.

Wenger chose to give several key players a breather for what could be the make or break game of Arsenal’s season at the expense of being humiliated by their age-old rivals away from their fortress in London.

However, to the contrary, the likes of Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Reiss Nelson all gave the travelling support something to show for, while the likes of Hector Bellerin, Granit Xhaka and Henrikh Mkhitaryan played with real heart and desire to get a result from the game.

This would have undoubtedly pleased the Arsenal fanbase, and they could hope that a new manager will spark about changes from the word go.

3) Marouane Fellaini’s performance could earn him a new deal at the club

A divisive figure among the Old Trafford faithful, midfielder Marouane Fellaini has often been criticised and made the scapegoat for United’s poor performances. However, despite all the negativity, he has stood firm and put in a shift for every manager he has worked under.

Sunday’s performance against Arsenal was a testament to that as he came off the bench and absolutely wreaked havoc in the opposition backline. Their defenders could not seem to deal with him and he was duly rewarded with a winning goal in injury time.

After the game, Mourinho admitted that the defender could put pen to paper to an extension very soon. He said: “We are almost there but I can’t celebrate because almost is not enough. I want to see the white paper with the United crest and [executive vice-chairman] Ed Woodward and Marouane Fellaini’s signatures.”

IPL 2018 RCB vs CSK. The resurgent Royal Challengers Bangalore will face the tough Chennai Super Kings test in game 24 of the Vivo IPL 2018. While the tournament has so far been a patchy one for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, The Chennai Super Kings have been on a roll. As the two great sides take on each other at Bangalore, the Royal Challengers Bangalore would be keen to exploit the home advantage and halt the winning streak of Dhoni’s men. RCB despite being one of the most handsome sides in the tournament has managed just 2 wins so far from 5 games and they need some wins desperately to bounce back.

RCB vs CSK: Head to Head

The odds are in favor of the men in yellow. Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore have played 19 games against each other. The Chennai Super Kings have got the better of RCB in 12 games while RCB has won 7. Having made a comeback to the IPL after 2 years, the Chennai Super Kings look like a perfectly balanced side as the old horses are right on their money. On the other hand, RCB looks like the most lethal batting side in the contest hence this is one of the greatest rivalries of the IPL.

RCB need to bounce back

The Royal Challengers Bangalore has no other choice but to get a few wins against its name and revive its hopes. With Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers in one team, you would expect them to thrash any other side but that has not been the case. AB De Villiers and Virat Kohli have shown great form lately and that might just swing things RCB’s way.

Death overs’ bowling has been an issue for the RCB and that is something they need to sort out at the earliest. RCB’s bowlers have conceded way too many runs in the death overs and Kohli needs to find a way to prevent runs from leaking this way.

All in all, this offers to be a great contest of cricket as MS Dhoni’s men challenge Virat Kohli’s brigade. Bangalore is an amazing venue for cricket and these are two amazing sides offering electrifying entertainment.

IPL 2018 DD vs KXIP. In the game number 22 of the Vivo IPL 2018, The flamboyant Kings XI Punjab will take on the Delhi Daredevils. Kings XI Punjab has been on a roll and they’re riding nicely on the Gayle Storm. On the other hand, the Delhi Daredevils are struggling at the bottom of the table. Kings XI Punjab have lost just one game in the tournament so far while the Delhi Daredevils have won just one.

Playing at home, the Delhi Daredevils will look to topple the winning streak of the Kings XI Punjab and revive their campaign. Delhi Daredevils desperately need a win to stay alive in the tournament.

Odds In Favour Of Kings XI

The odds are well inclined towards the Kings XI Punjab. The two teams have locked horns 21 times in the Indian Premier League so far. The Kings have triumphed over the Delhi Daredevils 12 times while Delhi Daredevils have won 9 games. Gautam Gambhir has no option but to stop the Kings XI from winning another game if Delhi has to stay alive in the tournament.

Delhi needs to get over opening woes

There hasn’t been any consistency for the Delhi Daredevils at the top of the order. Their openers haven’t given them the starts the middle order can capitalize on. Gautam Gambhir needs to lead from the front and assure good starts to the team.

Delhi’s death overs’ bowling has been an issue too. The Delhi pacers end up conceding a lot of runs and that’s been an issue for them. The Delhi Daredevils will have some brainstorming and introspection to do before they walk into this game. Delhi Daredevils will put in everything in this game and look to revive their hopes.

Kings XI is on a roll

The opening pair of Chris Gayle and KL Rahul has looked the best in this IPL so far. They’ve scored runs at staggering strike rates and have been responsible for the success of the Kings XI. Delhi will have to find ways to get rid of this opening pair especially Chris Gayle at the earliest. If they get going, they’d just be unstoppable.

D/L Method
D/L Method questioned by DK

In the game number 20 of the Vivo IPL 2018, The Kings XI Punjab defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders at the latter’s home in a rain-interrupted game. Batting second, the Kings XI Punjab were well ahead of the required run rate and hence the D/L Method swung the game in their favour.

The Kolkata Knight Riders set a handsome total of 192 for the Kings XI and the riding on a dream start rendered by their in-form opening pair, the Kings won with ease. After rain interrupted the game for 95 minutes, the match was reduced to 13 overs and the Kings XI were given a revised total of 125 runs. Kings XI Punjab won by 9 wickets as both KL Rahul and Chris Gayle hit amazing half centuries.

Dinesh Karthik Questions the D/L Method

After the Kolkata Knight Riders lost the game to the Kings XI Punjab by the D/L method, the skipper of the Kolkata Knight Riders, Dinesh Karthik slammed the D/L method. Dinesh Karthik said that the S/L method is strange and he advocated that the VJD method which is the Indian counterpart of the D/L method should be used instead of D/L method in the IPL. Clearly, the KKR skipper was distraught after the loss while the Kings XI Punjab now sit on the top of the points table like a real king.

Also, see IPL 2018: The Match Between DD and KXIP on April 23 is Still Not Confirmed

Karthik also highlighted the fact that while before the rain stopped play, the Kings XI Punjab needed runs at 8 runs per over and after the match resumed with D/L method in effect, they needed just 6 runs per over.

The Kolkata Knight Riders now have 3 wins from 6 games and they would look forward to bouncing back in the tournament. The Kings XI on the other side made their way to the top of the table after the win in the rain-truncated game. Chris Gayle has been on a roll and he now has 2 half centuries and a century in IPL 2018 from just 3 games. Other teams would now really be scared of the Gayle Storm and they have a lot to think about as to how can they curtail the Gayle storm.

While the CSK will be sailing high on confidence having won their last game handsomely, SRH tasted their first defeat of the year in their previous game. While the Chennai Super Kings will want to continue their winning streak, the Sunrisers Hyderabad will look to return to winning ways at home. The match would be played at Hyderabad and the Sunrisers Hyderabad will look to get the leverage out of home conditions. It is a contest between two great teams which have a near perfect balance. It promises to be a cracker of a game.

Game 21: Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals

Both, MI and RR would be desperate for a win as they seem to be struggling in the points table. Mumbai Indians have managed just one win so far and the Rajasthan Royals have two wins from 5 games. Both the teams would look to revive their campaign before it is too late.

Jaipur is known to be the fortress of the Rajasthan Royals and they would be keen to get the better of Rohit Sharma and his men at home. Both Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma need to lead their respective teams from the front. If Mumbai loses this one too, the road ahead would be really tough for Rohit Sharma and his men.

The Match Between DD and KXIP on April 23 is Still Not Confirmed

There is a cloud of distress on the proposed IPL 2018 match on April 23 in the capital city New Delhi. High Court refused to give interim order regarding the use of broadcasting equipment for the E-block in view of the dilapidated condition of the old clubhouse of Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium.

Also, see IPL 2018 KXIP vs SRH: Punjab Will Be Looking to Break the Winning Trend of Hyderabad

The court’s sword is hanging on organizing the IPL match at Delhi’s Ferozeshah Kotla Stadium. The old house club located in the stadium wants to use the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) broadcasting companies, but its condition is not such that companies can set up equipment there.

The Court has said that if the old club building falls during the IPL match, then South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) will be completely responsible for this act. The SDM will have to sign that if the building collapsed during the match or if one person was injured or died, then he will be responsible for this.

Also, see Aaron Finch All Set To Replace Steve Smith As Captain

Earlier, Justice Rajiv Shakdhar had said that till South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) does not certify the structure fully by saying that building is safe, we can not release any order. The court had said that who will be responsible if the building collapses and what will happen if the SDM refuses to allow it. The court had said that we are not doing yes or no, if you still want to take the risk, then take it. Rajiv Shakdhar had issued a notice to the corporation and had asked to respond till 18th April.

SDM told the court that he has taken the services of a consultant who has given an interim report about the structural stability of the Old Club House. The final report will be available after the affidavit lane from DDCA. Old Club House is also known as RP Mehta Block.

In the game number 16 of IPL 2018 the table toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad will contest with the Kings XI Punjab at Mohali. Sunrisers Hyderabad is high on confidence as they have won all their matches in the tournament so far. They sit on top of the points table of IPL 2018 like a king. On the other hand, Kings XI Punjab is third on the points table and even they would enjoy a boosted morale as they defeated the Chennai Super Kings in their previous game at Mohali. The Kings have 2 wins in 3 games and they have had a decent campaign so far.

Also, see Aaron Finch All Set To Replace Steve Smith As Captain

TOSS WOULD HOLD THE KEY

The pitch at Mohali is a great one. The ball comes at the bat nicely and the outfield is blistering quick. So, we can expect this contest to be a run feast just like the previous game here between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings. There might be some dew in the second half of the match and that might make the captains want to bowl first. The Kings XI Punjab have won both their games at home so far and they would want to continue the winning ways but it would not be easy as Sunrisers Hyderabad looks like an amazingly balanced side.

Also, see IPL 2018: 71 Runs Loss Will Haunt Delhi Daredevils In The Remaining Tournament

ODDS ARE IN THE FAVOUR OF SRH

The two sides have locked horns 10 times in the IPL. Out of these 10 games, Sunrisers Hyderabad has won 8 while the Kings XI Punjab have won only two. So, clearly, the odds are inclined in the favour of SRH but in T20 cricket you can always expect the unexpected. Kings XI Punjab is playing really well and with Chris Gayle joining the party in the last game the SRH would surely not want to take the Kings lightly. Sunrisers Hyderabad got to have a plan to confront the Gayle storm. The Sunrises Hyderabad has a brilliant bowling unit and they would want to get the better of Chris Gayle and KL Rahul early for they have been in a great touch.
