Liverpool defender Joel Matip believes that teams coming into Anfield should be scared because Liverpool is hard to beat on its home ground.

After the 3-0 success against Saints, Liverpool’s 24-match unbeaten streak has now become very strong under the Premier League at the Anfield.

Reds has so far scored in each of the previous 23 league matches in Anfield. They are totally unbeaten there.

Talking about the same Joel Matip said that, “I think it should always be a fear to come to Anfield as an opposing team.”

“But we are working hard to make it as uncomfortable as possible for the opponent and we are on a good way. I think nobody enjoys to play here.”

“After this long time, after this injury, it feels great to start again and to play. It was a nice feeling to be on the field 90 minutes,” he added.

“Sure, it was quite a long time with the injury but now I’m fit and in a good way. I still need some time but (I’m) looking forward to the next game. And I was not too lucky with scoring goals during my time at Liverpool but I hope that maybe this season I can score a few more goals,” he continued.

“It always helps the team and helps me get self-confidence for the game,” he concluded.
