After a weekend of domestic league football, UEFA Champions League is coming back again tonight. The Champions League night always gives us some exciting clashes to watch. Tonight, Real Madrid will take on Italian giant Inter Milan at home.
After a tough start in UCL this year Real Madrid is eyeing to be back to the winning ways today against Inter Milan. Real Madrid has collected only 1 point from the first 2 games and now at the bottom of the group.
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has already declared the class as the ‘final’ for his team. He said, “Inter are a good team, very physical, and they play football well. It’s another difficult game for us. It’s a Final.”
“These are three points we must try to claim. Every game is a Final, we know and we will concentrate without thinking about what will happen later.”-he added.
Zinedine Zidane also hinted about the addition of Luca Modric to the first team. He said, “He’s important for us, I count on everyone. Luka knows that what he does, he does well. But as always for a coach, the hardest thing is to tell someone so strong what to do. He gives us energy.”
Real Madrid won against Huesca by 4-1 at the weekend in La Liga. Most importantly Real Madrid star Eden Hazard has finally back on the score-sheet after a thunder boult with his left foot last Saturday.
The comeback of Eden Hazard will surely be a boost to the Spanish side. Real Madrid defender Rafael Varane is happy with his comeback. “Hazard’s a very good person to talk to about everything. He adapted very well to the dressing room and is a top player, with a lot of quality. He’s special at unbalancing teams and will give us a lot at a technical level. He’s always positive.”- Varane said in a press conference.
Inter manager Antonio Conte knew Hazard very well from his time at Chelsea. He will surely be conscious of the Belgian.
Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku is doubtful with a thigh injury. Alexis Sanchez is fit now and has started practicing with the team and will be available for tonight’s game.
Former Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal, who joined Inter Milan last summer from FC Barcelona, wants to make Barcelona fans happy by beating Real Madrid at their home. He was cherishing his two years in Spain before the Real Madrid clash. He said, “It’s a great match. I spent two great years at Barcelona, so I hope to be able to celebrate a win with Inter and Barcelona fans.”
“For us, whether it’s in the league or the Champions League, all matches are like a final. Tomorrow will be a very intense match, it’s always nice to play a strong team like Real Madrid but for us, all the matches are like a final.”- Vidal added.
Former Real Madrid right back Achraf Hakimi will also back at Madrid. He was sold to Inter Milan last summer as Zidane thought that the Moroccan will have a future anywhere else but not in Real Madrid. Hakimi will surely have a point to prove in this match.
