Manchester United vs Crystal Palace: Pre-Match press conference of both managers

Manchester United will take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park tonight. Manchester United is currently in the second position in the league. But they are 12 points behind Manchester City who is leading the table right now. The Red Devils need a miracle to be crowned champion this season.

However, Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not ready to focus on the outcome of the league. He just wants to concentrate on every game and want to win every one of them.

In this circumstance, United is travelling to London to face Crystal Palace at their home. In the Pre-Match press conference, both the managers have provided some early team news.

Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani has overcome his injury and is ready to come back again against Crystal Palace. Yesterday Ole said, “Edi has trained this morning and hopefully there is no reaction.”

“There are another couple of knocks that we have to look at, from after the [Chelsea] game, and from the season’s wear and tear.” -he added.

“It looks good. Edi has got the desire and hunger and, of course, he wants to join in, even if it’s from the bench. Hopefully, he’ll say tomorrow that there’s been no reaction.”

It is good news for Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to have their main striker back in action. However, Paul Pogba, Juan Mata and Phil Jones are all still sidelined.

Ole revealed, “With Phil, obviously we hope [we see him in 2020/21]. He’s working really hard. He’s had a couple of setbacks. It’s just that kind of injury where you have to be patient and give him time. I know all about knee injuries. I’m not sure. How long is a piece of rope? That’s how I felt as well when I came back. [We’ll] give him absolutely every chance to get back this season. If not, hopefully for the start of next.”

“Paul is still not ready for us, no. He’s feeling better. He’s not been training with the team yet, so he’s definitely not travelling down to London, no.”-Solskjaer said on Paul Pogba’s involvement.

On the other hand, It is quite a positive ambience in the Palace side. Former Red, Wilfred Zaha has started training who is battling to return from a thigh problem. Though he is doubtful to face his former side tonight.

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson said, “It’s quite good news, really. Wilf’s returned to training, albeit a bit modified. He looks ready to go again, we’ll have to wait for the green light, but it’s looking positive. We will be able to welcome him back very, very soon.”

“Also, I’m very pleased that Jeffrey Schlupp and Connor Wickham have recovered and will be available for me. It’s good news on the offensive front, we’re looking much more like we should be.”- he added.

It is a must-win game for both the side. Both the team is ready to give their best in the field. It will be exciting to see who gets the better of these two tonight.
