Eighth seed Ryan Harrison from America beat British number two Cameron Norrie in the semi-finals on Saturday, 28th July to reach the finals of Atlanta Open that is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 29th July.

Norrie, 22, almost headed to his first ATP final after dominating the first set until Harrison pushed back to win 2-6 6-3 6-2.

Ryan Harrison is due to face fellow American and compatriot John Isner, who made it to the finals for the eighth time after beating Australian opponent fourth-seeded Mathew Ebden 6-4 6-7(6) 6-1.

Isner lost to the same opponent in January in the first round of the Australian open but made a huge impact with his win in Atlanta Open achieved just under a couple of hours.

Isner on the match

Last year, Isner competed against Harrison in the last year’s final and won his fourth Atlanta title. Sunday’s game will see Isner chasing victory for the fifth time in the last six years.

When asked his view, Isner says “There are no secrets there. I know a lot about Ryan. We are good friends and it be a rematch of last year.”

Isner has a record of 8-1 in the Atlanta semi-finals, with the only loss against Andy Roddick in 2012. The only other losses recorded against Isner are in the finals, against Mardi Fish in 2010 and 2011 and against Nick Kyrgios in 2016. Fro 2013 till 2015, Isner won three straight titles.
