Andy Murray defeated by Kyle Edmunds at Eastbourne

Andy Murray, the former world number 1 was beaten by Kyle Edmund in the second round at Eastbourne. Andy Murray who was working his way to Wimbledon fitness was beaten 6-4 6-4 by Kyle Edmund. So, after winning the first round against Stan Wawrinka, Murray is now knocked out from the Nature Valley International Tournament, Eastbourne. 

This was only Andy Murray’s third match since his comeback from a prolonged hip injury. He’s still unsure about playing in Wimbledon 2018. He’s made it pretty clear that he doesn’t want to rush with his fitness.

He will play the Wimbledon only if he feels he is geared up well to play it. He is feeling no pressure to rush into his Wimbledon decision.  

Kyle Edmund will now face Cameron Norrie in the quarter-finals. Cameron Norrie beat Jay Clarke 6-4 6-3 to book a spot in the quarter-finals. 

Presence of Murray at Wimbledon is not yet confirmed: 

Wimbledon is just around the corner and while others are geared up, Andy Murray is yet to decide. He has won Wimbledon twice, in 2013 and 2016. Since Andy Murray has remained absent for 11 months, Kyle Edmund has emerged as the top-ranked British tennis player. Andy Murray’s fans are keenly waiting for him to take a call on Wimbledon.

Andy Murray made his comeback at Queen’s against Nick Kyrgios. He was defeated in his comeback game but then he went on to defeat Stan Wawrinka to feel good about his returning form and fitness. Will the two-time Wimbledon Champion be seen at Wimbledon 2018?
