World No. 10 Serbia’s veteran tennis player Novak Djokovic defeated Milos Raonic of Canada 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 to enter the semi-finals of the Cincinnati Masters. Current Wimbledon champion Djokovic hit the racket on the ground after winning the match. Earlier, Djokovic have lost five times in the Cincinnati Open final.

In the semifinal, Djokovic will face Marin Čilić of Croatia, who beat Karen Khachanov of Russia 7-6, 3-6, 6-4. Karen Khachanov provided Marin Čilić a tough fight and Cilic had to put extra effort to defeat the Russia player.

Wimbledon champion Djokovic had to stop the match due to rain a day earlier. After this, Djokovic played two matches on Saturday and winning both of them he made it to semifinals.

Cincinnati Masters is an Irony of Djokovic’s Career

The 13-time Grand Slam title winner, Djokovic, has won eight other Masters 1000 titles at least one time, but at the Cincinnati Open, he has not been able to make the title even once. Novak Djokovic will be hoping to break this irony of his tennis career.

He has won all four major Grand Slam titles (six Australian Open, one French Open, four Wimbledon and two American Open) and have completed his career grand slam.

Novak Djokovic had been away from court for last year due to an injury to elbow. But he won the Wimbledon 2018 title as his career’s 13th Grand Slam title and returned to the form. The former World No. 1 is currently ranked World No. 10 in ATP Rankings.
