When Rafael Nadal’s career almost ended in 2005!

One of the coaches of the Spanish prodigy, Rafael Nadal revealed how his career was almost over due to his injuries. One of his coaches Francisco Roig revealed that in 2005 Nadal was told that he could never play tennis again.

This came after he sustained a problem in one of his feet. The coach remembered this incident and said that now 15 years later Nadal is just elite. He also revealed that for Rafael Nadal was in pain throughout 2005, not a lot of training sessions could be completed. 

The coach revealed that in 2005 Rafael Nadal was diagnosed with a congenital bone problem in his left foot.

This came after a five-set win over Ivan Ljubicic in Madrid. It is phenomenal how Rafael Nadal has fought all adversities and pain and sits handsomely on the top of the ATP rankings currently. 

Nadal’s eyes on Wimbledon 2018:

He claimed his top spot in the world rankings after Roger Federer lost in the finals of the Halle Open. The two time Wimbledon winner is now eying Wimbledon 2018. Wimbledon starts on July 2.
