Poor performance of Argentina in the FIFA World Cup 2018

Argentina was place in the group D of the 21st edition of FIFA World Cup 2018. But anyhow, this FIFA World Cup was a nightmare as per Argentine point of view.

In the group stage the less reputed Iceland stopped them with a 1-1 draw and then in the second match the runner up of the tournament Croatia defeated them badly 3-0. Anyhow Argentina managed to beat Nigeria in their last group match 2-1 and made it to the last 16.

But this achievement of Argentine team couldn’t stand for long and in pre-quarterfinal match the Champions of FIFA World Cup 2018, France crushed them 4-1 and sent out of the tournament.

The star player and captain of Argentina, Lionel Messi could only score 1 goal in 4 matches of the tournament. there is nothing to say now.
