Austrian Grand Prix: Lewis Hamilton Fastest in the practice sessions

The Austrian Grand Prix kickstarts on Sunday and the elation is massive! The new engine update of the Mercedes seems to be benefitting Lewis Hamilton a lot. After he finished first at Circuit Paul Ricard last Sunday he even topped the charts in the practice for the Austrian Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton was the fastest in the practice session of the Austrian Grand Prix ahead of teammate Valtteri Bottas.

Lewis Hamilton who is leading the world championship at present was 0.127 seconds faster than Bottas. Bottas was 0.107 seconds quicker than Max Verstappen of Red Bull.

Lewis Hamilton’s title rival Sebastian Vettel finished as being the fourth fastest followed by Daniel Ricciardo and Kimi Raikkonen.

Esteban Ocon of Force India was at the 8th position after Grosjean. Charles Leclerc was once again impressive and finished at the 9th spot. Charles Leclerc is highly likely to be signed by Ferrari next year as Ferrari’s contract with Kimi Raikkonen comes to an end.

In the Austrian Grand Prix 2017, Bottas took the top spot followed by Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo. The Red Bull Ring is the home of Red Bull Racing and they would surely want to finish on the podium here.

The Red Bull Ring has 71 laps and Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton holds the record for the fastest lap. The driver to have won here the most number of times is Alain Prost (3) while the constructors are McLaren (6).
