Fernando Alonso is confident despite a miserable day at French Grand Prix

Fernando Alonso. As the French Grand Prix is done with, the Austrian Grand Prix is next on the cards. While Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes have every reason to cheer about after the French Grand Prix, McLaren suffered the most miserable outing of the season. Lewis Hamilton took full advantage of the pole position and never lost his lead.

Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari finished fifth after the crashed in Bottas and faced a 5 second penalty. After disappointing outcomes McLaren driver Fernando Alonso said that he hopes that the misery of McLaren at the Circuit Paul Ricard was a “one-off”. He also added that its the matter of privilege to be a part of F1.

Fernando Alonso had a terrible outing at the French Grand Prix after starting from the 16th position. He saw an early pit stop after a pathetic start. Alonso was off colour and well outside points.

He was also heard delivering some really frustrating radio messages. He then convinced his team to have a go for the fastest lap on ultrasoft tyres. Even that plan did not work out given the damage in suspension.

Despite the agony on the tracks of Circuit Paul Ricard Alonso is pretty positive. He is optimistic and looks for a quick solution before the Austrian GP gets underway the next weekend.

He said that they have been uncompetitive in this weekend and they need to find rapid solutions for Austria and Silverstone. Aonso also said that he managed quite well and he feels privileged.
