Force India gives up on competition with Renault for the 5th spot in Constructor’s championship

After facing its first double retirement in France in almost two years, Force India now believes that it does not have a chance to catch Renault in the rankings of F1 Constructor’s Championship.

At the French Grand Prix Renault was able to fetch points with both of its cars. This was the third successive race in which Renault gained points with both of its cars. It now has 62 points in all championship. 

Force India, on the other hand, is 34 points behind Renault while McLaren is 22 points behind Renault. Force India now believes that it can now only compete for the 5th position now. Now Force India can only compete with McLaren for the fifth position.

At the French Grand Prix, Sergio Perez was called into the pits after a reduction in his engine’s water pressure. Esteban Ocon was also eliminated at Circuit Paul Ricard. 

Lewis Hamilton; the winner:

Starting from the pole position in the French Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton never lost his lead. He posted a handsome win which his 65th win.

The Mercedes driver was just amazing and took the first spot on the podium with authority. Red Bull’s Max Verstappen finished second followed by Kimi Raikkonen of team Ferrari. 

Sebastian Vettel after an early crash with Bottas and received penalty of 5 seconds. Vettel then could not overcome his penalty. Vettel Finished fifth at Circuit Paul Ricard on Sunday. Now all eyes are on the Austrian Grand Prix which gets underway in the next weekend. Daniel Ricciardo of team Red Bull driver finished 4th with his wounded car.
