French star Kylian Mbappe is shortlisted for the Best FIFA Men’s Player Award

France’s young star Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Greizman have been shortlisted for the best FIFA Men’s player award, along with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. For this award, only 10 players were shortlisted, including Raphael Varane, Luka Modric, Eden Hazard, Kevin De Brun, Mohamed Salah and Harry Kane.

Harry Kane of England won the Golden Boot Award in the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia with the highest score of 6 goals. Mbapae became the second youngest player to score goals in the FIFA World Cup final. He also became the third youngest player to play in the final.

Luka Modric took Croatia to the final for the first time, but his team had to face defeat against France.

Brazil’s star Neymar has not been able to find a place in these shortlisted players. Ronaldo, the world’s best footballer in the last two years, played a key role in Real Madrid’s third consecutive Champions Trophy title. He then joined Juventus Club.

Other nominees 

French coach Didier Deschamps, who became the third person in the world to win the FIFA World Cup as a manager as well as a player, has been shortlisted for the best coach of the year.

This list of 10 coaches includes former manager of Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane, England coach Gareth Southgate, who helped England to become the semi-finalist of FIFA World Cup 2018 and current FIFA World Cup runner-up Croatia’s coach Zlatko Dalic.

Six members of the Women’s Champions League Champion Lyon Club have been included in the list of 10 short list players for the best female footballer of the year.

The 3 finalist for each category will be announced later for these awards. Who will be the winner, will be known in the ceremony to be held on 24th September in London.
