Lewis Hamilton takes the pole position in French Grand Prix

pole position in French Grand Prix. As the buzz around the French Grand Prix getting underway tomorrow is massive, the positions are now well defined. Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton will take the pole position tomorrow. The last French Grand Prix was conducted in 2008 and now it returns to France after 10 years.

For the French Grand Prix 2018, Lewis Hamilton has bagged the pole position. This is Lewis Hamilton’s 75 pole position. 

Lewis Hamilton takes pole position

Valterri Bottas finished second in qualifying and will start on Sunday behind Lewis Hamilton. Sebastian Vettel, who won the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal, finished 0.4s behind Lewis Hamilton to take the third spot. 

Now after winning the pole position can Lewis Hamilton make up for the world championship lead lost to Sebastian Vettel at the Montreal? Lewis Hamilton finished at a disappointing 5th position at the Canadian Grand Prix.

Daniel Ricciardo fifth 

While Verstappen will take the fourth position on the grid, Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo takes the fifth position. Kimi Raikkonen will start from a dismal 6th position followed by Sainz and Charles Leclerc. Leclerc took P8 for Sauber. 

F1 is returning to Circuit Paul Ricard after 28 long years. It looks to be a one stop race and rain is on the cards. After winning the pole position Lewis Hamilton said that he feels great to be in France again. He further said that the pole position was a result of the hard work of the team. 

Bottas reacted by saying that it’s neither a bad lap nor a perfect lap. He said that he’s been struggling to get perfect laps this week. He also said that he feels good about the new engine.
