Ricciardo hits the top spot in FP2 for Red Bull in Monaco GP

Thursday practice was really good for Danial Ricciardo as he completed a clean sweep in Thursday’s practice. With this, Ricciardo hits the top spot in the second session in a single day.

Ricciardo set a good pace in the morning but then had a good challenge by his teammate Verstappen who grabbed the top spot in 19 minutes in the afternoon session, his lap time was 1m12.468s using hypersoft Pirellis.

Ricciardo’s teammate Verstappen dropped down to a 1m12.071s on his first set of tyres but later improved again when the session was red flagged after 25 minutes.

This was done so that the repairing work to the tracks can be completed between Casino to Mirabeau. As per the race director, some kind of welding work done on the tracks to cover the drain in the middle of the tracks.
